Le Point’s First Christmas!

We are gearing up for our first Christmas here at Le Point and can’t wait to show you what we have been up to. We have given a few sneak peaks on our instagram, and love all of the holiday enthusiasm already!

As you know, my mom was a needlework designer when I was little for a company called The Cross Eyed Cricket. Her designs were sold in pamphlets that you would then count and stitch yourself, most often in cross stitch. My mom’s designs are so classic and beautiful, that part of why we started Le Point was to give my mom’s designs new life on hand painted needlepoint canvases. For our new Holiday mini’s which are 4 inch rounds, we looked back at my mom’s many Christmas pamphlets and original sketches.

Her phamplet No.67 Advent Calendar was the perfect place to start! This was a favorite piece growing up that my mom brought out every year. She kept all the pillows in a little basket and we added them day by day to our advent tree. We started by picking out some favorites and can’t wait for you to see the ones we picked!

This Holly Berry design was a new add, designed by me, for this year’s launch! As always, we will be selling a canvas only option if you want to use your own thread, or a kit options which includes Appletons Wool yarn to complete your project!
